If you decide to stay at the Retezova Residence in Prague’s Old Town, you will certainly be pleasantly surprised. Just one step from our door takes you to the heart of our historical city offering fine dining, shopping or a romantic stroll along the Vltava river. The renovated houses in Retezova Street date from the 14th century and one of them named "House at Three Golden Chains" is home to the 4 star luxury property - Retezova Residence. When you enter the Retezova Residence, you can see how the building has developed in the course of centuries. While the ground floor features well-preserved Gothic vaults and authentic stone door jambs, the upper floors display magnificent painted Renaissance wooden ceilings dating from the early 17th century. The Retezova Residence will enchant lovers of romance in particular, since its intricately articulated space contains intimate corners, mysterious staircases running up or down and leading to cosy bedrooms. Some of the rooms even have direct access to a courtyard. You will discover something new and interesting virtually at every step and so even after a one-week stay the hotel will not lose its appeal for you and you will feel very comfortable here.

In-room facilities Fully equipped kitchenette is the basics of all of our apartments or suites. That includes dishes and cutlery from 4 up to 6 persons, electric kettle, oven, mini-bar at cost. Coffee and tea facilities are complimentary. Automatic drip coffee maker is at request. There is a telephone line with the direct access to the outside line (dial 0 digit first) in every room of the apartment. Satellite receiver is also a part of every apartment set for 20 world TV channels. VCR and CD player is only in our biggest apartments -London and Paris. Individual climate control air-conditioning is part of all the apartments except for Berlin, Rio de Janeiro and Singapore (climate unit is in every room of the apt). Iron and the ironing board is provided to the room upon request. Our clients staying with us for longer than just a couple of days would appreciate the laundry and dry cleaning service provided at cost mostly within the same day (if asked for before noon of the day). Daily housekeeping service (the linen change is every 3 days and towels are changed every 2 days) is another important part of provided service. High-speed internet Complimentary in-room Wi-Fi or broadband internet is important part of our service to our guests. For travellers who do not like to carry their laptop with, is at use the PC spot at the reception area with the internet access. Café Ebel is accessible directly from the hotel’s reception. Opening hours Mon-Fri are between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., on weekends between 8,30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Healthy or Continental breakfast could be taken in the restaurant between 5 - 7 EUR per person also could be served to the room. Warm snacks, sandwiches or desserts on the menu could also be served to the room during the opening hours of the restaurant. (notice must be given to us before noon 1 day before the day of delivery) There are 9 four-star suites in the Residence Retezova and all of them provide sophisticated comfort, well hidden in their stylish furniture and harmoniously complementing the historical interiors. Stylish furniture is made from dark wood and was imported from Italy. The prevailing colour in the bedrooms is gentle light green, which goes very well with the painted Renaissance beam ceilings. The large flower arrangements and paintings by old masters, which grace the walls, create the atmosphere of an ancient family seat. The in-built fitted kitchens are equipped with every kind of device which visitors may need during a longer stay, including a refrigerator, minibar and high-speed electric kettle. Some of the rooms even have a working wood-fired fireplace. The speciality of our large apartments is that they feature spaces situated on several different floors. With a living space between 80 to 100 square metres each, the two largest of them (Rome and London) are suitable for up to six persons. Thanks to their bedrooms, located atypically on different levels, the suites nevertheless ensure privacy for all their occupants. If you choose, for instance, a bedroom for a married couple with a bathroom, situated up above the staircase, you will sleep right under historical timberwork dating from the 14th century, which is deliberately left bare and illuminated appropriately, since there are not many other similar listed spaces dating from that period in Prague. A visit to the establishment’s small roof terrace with a view of the ancient Prague houses is a great experience indeed. Just imagine – you are sitting right on the top of the building, down under you stretches the town, you can see the spectacular silhouette of St. Giles’ Church in front of you and in the background you can catch a glimpse of the small tower of the nearby Klementinum adorned with a metal statue of mythical Atlas bearing the Globe. Nothing disturbs you, you are hidden from the whole world, you can relax. Types of suites: Singapore suite 20 sq.m., our smallest suite is situated on the second floor. Entrance is through the outer balcony. Intimate atmosphere envelopes you right when you step in to this suite. Through a tiny hallway you get into a living area combined with kitchenette. There is a double seated sofa and a armchair in the living area. Specification of this suite is loft sleeping where 1 king size bed and 1 twin bed is. If not until now, the loft sleeping above the small relaxing area evokes feeling of cosiness. Bathroom accessible through the hallway featuring shower corner, bidet, toilet and a wash basin.

Rio de Janeiro suite 26 sq.m., situated on the first floor. Entrance is through the outer balcony. Specification of this apt. is its distribution into 2 levels. The upper level offers kitchenette and a small relaxing corner featuring armchair and a table with 2 chairs. There is bedroom with king size bed connected with a bathroom with shower corner and a small courtyard on the buttom floor. Still-life with a courtyard noticeable from a bed is soothing and romantic and thus valued by our younger guests.

Berlin suite 37 sq.m., is situated on the ground floor, behind our reception. Berlin consists out of 1 bedroom with king size bed and a second room with kitchenette and a dining table. Bathroom features shower corner. Our elder clients especially appreciate the great location of Berlin apartment avoiding the stairs (still there are 6 steps leading to the bathroom). Berlin apt. is attached to a small courtyard, with the garden furniture, which is shared with Rio de Janeiro apt.

Madrid suite 48 sq.m., is situated on the second floor. Spaceful hallway is leading you into a perfect square shape 1 bedroom apartment. Just look up when you are there. Renaissance painted wooden ceiling dated back to 17th century is a marvelous piece of a history you can nearly touch here. There is 1 king size bed and a kitchenette ingeniously divided from the bedroom by a single step down. Bathroom featuring shower corner, bidet, wash basin and a toilet.

New York suite 63 sq.m.,is situated on the first floor, next to Jerusalem apt. Ideal apt. for those guests who eventhough travelling in a couple like to enjoy space and privacy. New York apt. consists out of 1 bedroom with king size bed and a spaceful living room featuring large sofabed and kitchenette. 2 bathrooms out of one is with bathtub, the other with shower corner allow to keep the privacy in the cases we prepare the sofabed, upon the client´s wish, for another 1 or 2 guests who may share this apt. with the occupants staying in the room. Comfortable apt. facing very quiet Retezova street.

Jerusalem suite 78 sq.m., is situated on the first floor, next to New York apt. Gothic vault ceilings are getting back its occupants to the 14th century. Apt. is appreciated the most by large families which can gather in the spaceful living room with large dining table. Windows of the living room and kitchenette are leading to the quiet Retezova street and may light up the room when is grey. 1 bedroom is with king size bed, second bedroom with 2 twin beds. 2 bathrooms are basics. One is with bathtub the other with shower corner. Hallway is adding even more space and air to this luxury apt.

Paris suite 77 sq.m., attic luxury apartment Paris is situated on the third floor. There are 12 steps to get you to our lift where the bottom No. 2 will get you to our third floor, another 4 steps dividing you from Paris apt. Adjective "romantic" was not assigned meaningless. One of the bedrooms, situated up above the staircase, will let you sleep right under historical timberwork dating from the 14th century, which is deliberately left bare and illuminated appropriately. There is also a bathroom with bathtub, bidet and toilet connected to this bedroom. Situated down the staircase is a living room and a kitchenette. Second bedroom with 2 twin beds and the bathroom with shower corner and toilet is behind the sliding door dividing the kitchenette and a hallway.

Roma suite 100 sq.m., second largest apartment is situated on the second floor. Only few steps right after you close the door behind you, will get you into a spaceful hallway and already there you can smell it. Breath in deeply. You naturally look up to notice and admire the Renaissance painted wooden ceiling. There are 2 bedrooms in Roma apt. each with king size bed and thus friend couples travelling together will appreciate its unique disposition the most. 2 separate bathrooms are the basics. One bathroom featuring bathtub, bidet, toilet and a wash basin. Another bathroom featuring shower corner and a wash basin. Now you only get to a splendid living room with a wood-fired fireplace, large sofabed, which could be, upon client´s request, prepared as the additional sleeping for another 1 or 2 persons. Many of the windows are facing the quiet Retezova street. Last room is the kitchen with a large dining table and 4 chairs. Both of its windows are also facing the main street.

London suite 115 sq.m., the largest attic luxury apartment London is situated on the third floor. There are 12 steps to get you to our lift where the bottom No. 2 will get you to our third floor, another 4 steps dividing you from London apt. The history meets in London apt. Renaissance painted wooden ceiling in one bedroom with kind size bed, timberwork dating from the 14th century, which is deliberately left bare and illuminated appropriately would attract you in the spaceful living room which also has wood-fired fireplace. There is also second bedroom with 2 twin beds and 2 bathrooms of the same dispositions as in the rest of our apt. - one with bathtub, the other with shower corner. Uniqueness of London apt. besides its square meters and composition is its small roof terrace with a view of the ancient Prague houses. Spectacular silhouette of St. Giles’ Church is in front of you and in the background you can catch a glimpse of the small tower of the nearby Klementinum adorned with a metal statue of mythical Atlas bearing the Globe.
