The history of this house, which was built in the immediate vicinity of the Main Gate of Prague Castle, dates back to the 15th century. The gothic period is represented by its cellar premises that were reconstructed, along with the entire house, in 1998.

The above-ground floors offer ten spacious apartments whose historical value is underlined with conventional furniture. The hotel U Brany Prague offers accommodation in two to four-bed apartments with a private bathroom, satellite TV, direct dial telephones, mini-bar, and a safe.

The largest apartment situated in the attic overlooks the wondrous panorama of Prague Castle.

The U Brany hotel restaurant & and bar Nerudovka is situated on ground floor Already in the 16th century a first culinary establishment could be found here – the pub "U Strahovské Brány" or "At the Strahov Gate" From that time the interiors underwent a complete reconstruction and the offer of provided services also somewhat expanded. Today the total capacity of the restaurant is 130 sitting places, further visitors can count on one of the two bars. For smaller companies up to 20 persons, the restaurant can offer you a discreet drawing-room, where, on request, specialities from the establishment´s chef are served and also several kinds of fondue. In addition to variety of coffes, teas, mixed drinks and beers, you will be offered excellent bohemian and international meals that you enjoy with a glass of wine imported from famous wine areas. Live piano music will make the evening even more enjoyable.

Do not forget to visit wine club Nerudovka in the cellar dating from the 18th century. In its traditional atmosphere you wil be offered gastronomic delicacies and many sorts of wine from our wine cellars. In the offer you can find wines from Chile, South America, France, Spain and not least the excellent wines from South Moravia. Gourmets can choose at from thirty five offered whisky brands.
