Only few houses in Prague can be proud of such a rich history as it is the case of Windischgratz Palace. The first mention of the house goes back to 1249, when it was the residence of the Bishop of Prague. Since those days many changes, rises and falls had taken place with exceptional speed. In 1805 the house was bought by the Countess of Windischgratz for her son, the Count Alfred Windischgratz, whose descendants bequeathed it to the state.

The hotel restaurant is situated in the stable of the famous place. It used to be the home of ARON, the well-known horse that had been chosen by sculptor Jan Myslbek as the model fo the equestrian statue of St. Wenceslas, now located in the upper part of Wenceslas Square. The restaurant serves delicious Czech traditional meals as well as other meals from international cuisine.

In summer you can enjoy hotel's lovely garden restaurant with specialities on lava grill. You will hardly find such a romantic place in Prague where you can have your breakfast in beautiful rose garden.
